Events/Store: Covered Bridge Print, Postcards
Rockingham, VT suffered some serious damage during Irene - homes destroyed, roads washed out, farm crops ruined, and our three historic covered bridges all affected. Two of the bridges were merely damaged, but the third, the Lower Bartonsville bridge, was swept away (there is very dramatic footage of the event on YouTube). There is insurance - for the bridge structure itself - but the abutments, one of which was severely compromised, were uninsured.
As a commemoration, and to raise funds for the restoration of our bridges, I'm creating a series of Old Time Travel Posters; one for each of the three bridges. The first is for the Lower Bartonsville Bridge. The original painting is 27"x41" - the size of many of the classic travel posters of the 30's and 40's. From this, a signed and numbered edition of 250 archival giclee prints is being pulled, with image size approximately 13"x22." We have also created postcards, and are selling these in sets of 10.
The price includes US/Canada shipping in mailing tube. VT residents add 6% sales tax. If you want to order all three prints (each as it becomes available) and want to have the same edition number on each, you need to let me know at the time you order (in the little box on the order form; payment will be requested at the time the print becomes available).

Set of ten 4.25"x6" full color postcards of the Lower Bartonsville Covered bridge print.
To keep things transparent - in essence, half the cost goes to making the print, paying the postage and putting a few bucks in my pocket. The rest goes to the Town of Rockingham for covered bridge rebuilding and restoration.
The original painting is available, for $3,000.00 framed. $1,000.00 of that goes to the rebuilding project.
